Foundation pieced.
Print or trace the block diagram onto foundation paper. It you want the thin strips on the outside of the block to look exactly like in the diagram, you will have to mirror it.
NB! If you're printing the block, remember to change the size to 5" x 8".
Number and cut out the sections as in the photo. I cut the unnumbered sections out of freezer paper and iron it onto the back of the fabric to stabilize it.
Foundation piece each section. Trim the seam allowances to 1/4".
Sew the sections together. Sew the left section to the right section, then add the top triangle and the side strips.
(My printer ate my freezer paper again this morning, hence the black marks on the pattern.)
