Foundation pieced.
Print or trace the block onto foundation paper, number and cut out as in the photo.
REMEMBER to change the size to 5"x8" before printing.
Note that I added some lines to the pattern (on the two center sections) to make piecing easier.

Foundation piece all the numbered sections. Trim all seam allowances to 1/4".
Sew together the top two sections and the center two sections, lining up the seams carefully.
Attach the side sections.
Attach the top section to the center section. Attach the two solid triangles.
Attach the bottom strip, centering it carefully.
This block is actually quite straight. It's just hard to get a photo from exactly above the block.
