I was going to rotary cut and piece this block until I realized that the measurements would be really hard to do. The sides of the center square would have to be 3.182" long, for instance.
So, foundation piecing it was once again. This method really allows for the greatest accuracy and this block is very simple.
Trace or print your block diagram onto your foundation paper. This is how I numbered and divided the different sections:
Using your preferred foundation piecing method, piece each section. Remember to leave a ¼" seam allowance all the way around each section.
Complete the block by attaching the sections. Sew together the two center sections first and then attach the outside ones.
This block took me less than 30 minutes to make, including taking the photos. Very simple.
