Print or trace the block diagram onto foundation paper. Number and cut out as in the photo.
NB! You have to mirror the diagram.

Foundation piece the numbered sections and trim, leaving a ¼" seam allowance all around. Cut the unnumbered pieces out of fabric leaving a ¼" seam allowance as well.

Assemble the center section of the block by sewing together the five center strips.

Attach the side strips log cabin style, following the block diagram.

What an interesting block.
ReplyDeleteThat one looks tricky! Yours came out very nice!
ReplyDeleteThis blog is awesome!!! I was just at my desk, having lunch, and decided to Google Dear Jane, and found this. It is now in my favorites. Your instructions are terrific. Thanks a bunch!! Lisa
ReplyDeleteI just ran across your blog and I have to ask,,,,where can I get the full instructions on all these blocks?
ReplyDeleteLove this blog!
Happy quilting,

Is this the one that took 5 hours? I can see how it would be very easy to accidentally switch the triangles around colorwise and also which way the slash goes. It looks great!
