It's funny how time "heals all wounds". Most of the blocks I was sure I was going to remake now look OK. Finished is better than perfect, right?
This one, however, stuck out like a sore thumb, color-wise:
Since I'm trying to complete the top assembly today, I had to quickly make a substitute.
I used my own instructions. They work quite well, if I must say so myself.

OK, I'll bite. What exactly was wrong with the first one? They both look just fine to me.
ReplyDeleteHappy quilting,

Looks fine to me as well, unless it has turned out a little small.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Susan in TX. What's the difference? They both look perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteYes, you wrote pretty amazing tutorials!!
ReplyDeleteI love the more subtle blue colour of the remake!
The new version definitely fits in better, color-wise. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteAh - I see why you changed it - you have mostly lighter colors in your quilt not so bright like this blue - I can see that one standing out :)
ReplyDeleteIt was perfectly made though!

I love the more muted colors. Nice job!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the boldness of the first block but seeing your overall color pallet, I can see why you chose to remake.
