The last ones

I've decided that the current Rainbow Jane session will be the last.
I want these quilts to remain fairly unique and don't want hundreds of identical Janes out there.
Because I've had a fair amount of last-minute requests for signups, I managed to figure out a way to create a couple more kits.
There are two left, so if you know of someone who may want to sign up, signups will close tomorrow night, October 12th.
Forever.

I am however thinking of doing another BOM in different colors and need your help.
If you were to start a new quilt today, what colors would you choose?

  1. I have completed only 35 blocks, so I'm barely started on my first, but I'm already thinking about a second one. What is it about this quilt? I keep thinking of possible colors; rainbow, such as yours, 30s repro, blues? I still don't know, and probably won't until I actually start looking for fabric. Sorry I'm no help.

  3. I finally decided to sign up and just missed out on the last one. It was available when I put it in the shopping cart but it was gone when I tried to check out.

    Sorry I missed out.

  5. Hello Anina! Today is my birthday and I would love to give myself the present of doing the Rainbow Jane with you! PLEASE say there is room for one more. I joined the flickr group to try to do it along with you but I need the help of having the fabrics arrive each month!
    Thank you!

  7. Wow! I've just been admiring your Dear Jane Blocks. I love your color choice. Several Memebers of my guild are doing the DJ's but mostly they are traditional colors. I like your's much better.

  10. I would pick warm colours, definitely reds and oranges. I signed up for dj-rainbow and I'm waiting for my fabric to arrive But I have already started a DJ quilt using my hand dyed fabric, so I will be making two, I must be nut.

  11. Those are fabulous fabrics. I would probably go for the pink, no wait, the blue, no, the pink. lol ok, I have no idea which one I would choose; they're both gorgeous. Sorry.

I think it's sweet of you to be so worried about having too many identical Janes. I wonder if that is likely to be the case? I wonder how many of the quilts will be WIPs or UFOs until the BOM maker shrugs off her earthly coil? I just *love* blogposts that start off with, "I finally finished my BOM from 1995!" I think it's wonderful of you to have such confidence in the ability of your BOM makers to actually finish their DJ. 8-) From your mouth to God's ear! As for me, I've already gone SABLE, that's Stash Accumulation Beyond Life Expectancy.

    All the best!

  15. I've been thinking about this for a good week now, and just can't decide! But, at this moment, I think I'm kind of leaning toward a red, white, and blue theme. That could be so much fun!
