Red is the most difficult colour in designs, paints, fabrics etc. When you make a black and white photocopy of red it will show as 100% black. That’s why autographs that need to be photocopied are often made in red ink. Red absorbs all the light.
Ah, polka dots... so happy! It is so funny-- I've made all of these blocks, but looking at these, I can't even remember half of them! :P It's like seeing them all for the first time (again!).

Oh, but we all know it adds so much to a piece and makes it pop! Love this one!! (however i have not gotten to it yet!)
